MAIN POINTS DISCUSSED AT TUTORIAL:
Important question raised within tutorial: Did you want your documentary to be entirely interview based? - I'm unsure as to whether this was our original intention, but it seems to be how things have played out.
FEEDBACK NOTES ON EDIT SO FAR:
Start: You tell us everything at the beginning, but you need to intrigue us more
Watch this person, be intrigued by this person - show don't tell
Not so much detail about high school etc, we don't need to know all of this.
Stick to her relationship with costumes - take everything else out.
Term cosplay is unknown? Do we need definition?
Idea of visual progression, see if the story can be told visually first prior to the interviews (i.e. through the b-roll and additional footage we got of Chloe.
ACTION PLAN WITH PROPOSED DATES:
At this point of time we are trying to stick to the deadlines that I organised for the group (to which I will mention below again as a reminder) - but I plan to go into the editing suite to help Bronte out if she is struggling.
EDIT:
- Draft 1: 19th Nov
- Draft 2: 26th Nov
- Final touches/Picture Lock: 28th Nov
SOUND:
- Draft 1: 1st Dec
- Draft 2: 5th Dec
- Final touches: 7th Dec
Homework for group (or Director): Highlight bits of the transcribe that you feel are the most essential - we can do this google docs.
