Hey there! I'm Dorsa Sajedi - nickname Dori. I'm a 4th-year film student specialising in editing, currently finishing up my studies at ENU (Edinburgh Napier University). I strive to shape my thoughts and feelings into something visual. I feel human emotion is too complex to translate into simple words. It's not the kind of thing you could understand through a dictionary definition. I want my work to be seen by others - to be recognised and to be felt. So, while you're here, have a look at some of the things I've made.

'Walking' (2019)

An interactive SHORT film

by Dorsa Sajedi

What do you do when you’re hungry? Your natural reaction is to go get food, right? We’re smart enough to know that there’s some things in life that we can control, and some things that we can’t. But what kind of food do you want to eat? Take-out, or home-cooked? What if this decision has already been made for you before you even think of it?

Do you think or do you know that you’re the one in control?

PLAY ON DESKTOP, NOT MOBILE!

Special Thanks to Arti Musgrave for Acting :)

'HOW I SEE'

Personal individuality. We each see the world through our own personal filter which is shaped by our experiences and our environment. The following works are samples from my 'How I See' project where I document how the world looks through my eyes.

Emotion theory

FEAR

Anger

These specific works are examples of my moving image work. Looking at a diagram I came across depicting Robert Plutchik's 'Wheel of Emotions', I noticed the assignment of colours to certain emotions, as well as the separation of similar emotions by intensity. Here, I depict two categories of emotions which oppose one another on his diagram -- Fear (red), and Anger (green).
